On Wednesday, September 11th, 2024, Lycoming County will be hosting the Annual 9/11 Memorial Ride to honor the victims and first responders who tragically lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. During this event thousands of motorcycle riders from around the country will assemble at the Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Company in Montgomery before following a motorcycle procession through South Williamsport, Duboistown, Williamsport, Loyalsock, Montoursville, Hughesville, and Muncy. Spectators are also encouraged to gather along the route as a symbol of unity and strength.

During this event there will be several road closures from 6 pm until 8 pm as the vehicles pass through the City of Williamsport. The areas within the City that will be affected are:

• Arch Street from Hiawatha Blvd to West Third Street
• West Third Street from Arch Street to River Avenue

Please note that vehicles and pedestrians will not be able to cross the parade route until the procession is completed. if you plan to travel through these areas at this time, please make alternative arrangements.
