The Williamsport Bureau of Police Patrol Division is the largest division within the department. The Patrol Division is responsible for uniformed police services, such as responding to police calls, conducting traffic enforcement, and protecting the public. This Division patrols an area of roughly 9.5 sq miles and on average responds to over 12,000 calls for service each year. The Patrol Division consists of (4) patrol shifts, each consisting of a Watch Commander, a Field Supervisor, and several Patrol Officers. The Patrol Division shifts are:

Morning Watch (2345 hrs – 0745 hrs)

Day Watch (0745 hrs – 1545 hrs)

Night Watch (1545 hrs – 2345 hrs)

Flex  Watch (Hours change subject to need)
