The Lycoming Regional Police Department (LRPD) is thrilled to report a successful National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. This annual community-building initiative brought together law enforcement agencies, fire and EMS, community members, and other local organizations to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
LRPD officers participated in two events within the department's jurisdiction, one at Crossroads Church in Jersey Shore and the other at Fairlawn Community Church in Cogan Station. Both events took place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, providing a wonderful opportunity for officers to engage with members of the public and build relationships.
During the events, officers distributed various handouts to attendees, including bracelets, sunglasses, keychains, police ducks, and badges. These items served as a token of appreciation for the community's support and a reminder of the department's commitment to serving and protecting the citizens of Lycoming County.
The LRPD would like to extend its gratitude to the generous sponsors who made this event possible: Seneca Resources, Frito Lay, Weis Markets, Martina Guerra Goldsmith, Vet Force Inc, Dave Harger, Billy O. Bandt Post 5859, Lion's Club, Blan J. Rossman Post 1630, Fairlawn Community Church, and Crossroads Church. Their contributions were instrumental in making this event a success!
The National Night Out event is a testament to the power of community policing and the importance of building strong relationships between law enforcement and the public. The Lycoming Regional Police Department looks forward to continuing its efforts to foster a safer and more connected community.
Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported this year's National Night Out event!
