"I decided to apply for an internship with Old Lycoming Township Police Department for the opportunity to explore a career path in a field that I was interested in, but unsure of, if I wanted to join. During my time working the internship, I learned a great deal about myself, my values, and what I wanted to achieve post-graduation. OLTPD gave me the opportunity to grow as a person and as a candidate for police jobs moving forward. I will always be extremely grateful for this opportunity to work with such influential officers and staff. It was this internship that proved to me I wanted to continue to help others and move forward serving my country as a federal police officer. Interning with Old Lycoming Township Police Department afforded me the opportunity to spend my summer not only learning what it takes to be a great police officer, but how to manage my time, dedicate my skillset to completing tasks, better understand how to communicate with others, and most importantly, understanding that this was a career field I wanted to pursue for my future. I really owe so much of my success to OLTPD for the wonderful memories and lessons." --Nicole C. Federal Police Officer, Washington D.C.
“My internship with Old Lycoming Police Department was an invaluable experience. I have always been able to utilize my internship experience to not only help me interview better for law enforcement positions, but potentially be a better law enforcement officer. The OLPD team is passionate about what they do, and it shows from their unmatched drive to help interns learn and gain valuable experiences, knowledge, and skills.” --Kyle D. PA State Police Trooper
