Chief Christopher Kriner has been a member of the Lycoming Regional Police Department since its inception in January 2023. Chief Kriner’s command responsibilities involve promoting the department's philosophy and mission, and ensuring services are provided to the public in a manner that supports integrity, respect, fairness and excellence. He is also responsible for the planning, organizing and coordination of police operations with the assistance of other command staff members of the department.
Chief Kriner has worked in various roles and capacities prior to joining the Lycoming Regional Police Department. Chief Kriner previously held the position of Chief of Police for Old Lycoming Township Police Department as well as held the ranks of Captain, Detective Sergeant, Corporal and Patrolman. Over the course of his career, Chief Kriner has been the recipient of multiple commendations and awards.
Chief Kriner serves on various boards and committees including the Domestic Violence Task Force and Fatality Review Board, Lycoming County Criminal Justice Advisory Board SUD Committee, Lycoming County CYS Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team, Lycoming-Clinton County CIT Steering Committee and Pennsylvania College of Technology's Human and Restorative Justice Advisory Committee.
Chief Kriner is a lifelong resident of Lycoming County. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Lycoming College and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania for his Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission Certification.
