Transformer Explosion Causes Brush Fire and Power Outage in McHenry Twp.

A transformer explosion has occurred in the area of the Jersey Mills Baptist Church in McHenry Township, resulting in a small brush fire. The incident has also caused a power outage in the surrounding area.

The Lycoming Regional Police Department is responding to the scene to assist fire department units.  Residents are advised to avoid the area until the situation is brought under control.

In the meantime, please report any power outages to your electricity provider and follow their instructions.
