On Saturday morning, members of the Williamsport Bureau of Police teamed up with officers from the Pennsylvania State Police, Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office, and Penn College Police for a special back-to-school tradition. Together the officers partnered with 10 local students for their 3rd Annual “Shop with a Cop” event at Target.

The young shoppers had the chance to pick out everything from school supplies and clothing to snacks and games, making sure they are ready to start the school year with confidence.

The program is made possible through a grant awarded to the Williamsport Police and the YWCA of Northcentral PA, whose support helped ensure the students had the opportunity to enjoy a fun and meaningful day.

This event is a rewarding opportunity to connect with students and help them prepare for success in the upcoming school year, all while having a little fun along the way.
