First Responders Recognized for Life-Saving Response

On Thursday, May 25th at 9:00 AM members of the Williamsport Bureau of Police, Williamsport Bureau of Fire, and Susquehanna Health EMS were recognized and awarded pins for their actions that saved a victim's life. In November of 2022, first responders were dispatched to the Genetti Hotel located at 200 W. Fourth St for a person suffering from cardiac arrest. Members of the Williamsport Police [including P.O. Tyson Minier and P.O. Jacob Huling,] firefighters, and EMS rushed to the scene immediately and located a victim who wasn't breathing and had no pulse. The first responders immediately performed CPR until the victim's pulse successfully returned, and the victim was quickly transported to the hospital for further treatment.

The victim, who has now fully recovered, handed life-saving pins to the first responders and directly credited his survival to the quick efforts of everyone at the scene.
